The first Stamford Tech meetup was held on February 24th with four presenters  from travel, theater and food.   Organized by Roger Wu of klickable.tv, the meetup attracted dozens of executives.  The following companies presented:

Producers Guild of America learns about Connecticut

The Producers Guild of America, with support by CT Digital Media, helped produce last week's panel on film production in Connecticut.   The PGA event, held at The Samsung Experience (a great gadget fest - go and enjoy) at The Time Warner Center, had dozens of producers in attendance hearing about the opportunities for film and TV production in Connecticut.

 On January 30th we'll be doing our first breakfast roundtable on how the connected HDTVs hitting the market this year may open new opportunities for the digital media industry.  With everything from streaming video from Netflix to Yahoo News and gaming widgets, these televisions provide a new platform for content development and distribution.

December networking dinner wrap-up and what's next in 2009

We had a terrific group of about 30-40 at last night's dinner gathering in Norwalk. It was a very lively crowd made up of startups (Beeing), to content creators (actors, directors, head of a southern rock band) to investors, marketers and technologists showed up - all the parts of the digital media ecosystem.
