Panel Event: The future of Web video – distribution, platforms and monetization
On September 17th, Palace Digital Studios will be hosting a CT Digital Media Business Network panel event on the future of Web video. This panel of entrepreneurs will discuss where video distribution and monetization is heading as well as the new viewing platforms on which consumers will watch video. The event will also have product demonstrations so the audience can get a hands on look at the future of video. A public forum on the digital media industry and how public policy can ensure it grows jobs and establishes companies right here in Connecticut.
The recession has forced public policy decision-makers to refocus on job and business creation while President Obama has promised to boost the broadband infrastructure to create a million or more jobs. Connecticut’s location and talent base are perfectly suited to take advantage of and create a new growth economy based on the digital media industries. The challenge – creating public policy that results not only in new jobs, but in an environment for entrepreneurs to create a new generation of businesses. Join this roundtable to hear where digital media jobs and business opportunities are emerging and how public policy can ensure they grow right here in Connecticut.
